Look Ma! I’m Knitting!
So Kim came over for our first Knit ‘n Bitch last night. She was supposed to come over a few weeks ago but first the snow was awful, then it was the ice. Then she got bronchitis. Now she’s better and so she showed me how to cast on then the basic stitching.
So far it’s looking pretty ok. Since I’m not the type to do something just to do it — that is, I need a goal to work toward — it’s going to be a scarf. For me.

Scarves are to knitting as snakes are to sculpting. That is, they are the only things I can make in either medium.

Regarding clay, the only thing I can make is an ashtray and I don’t smoke anymore.
I like those colors!
Not only can you knit scarves, you can also knit blankets — same thing, just bigger. :)
Somehow I managed to extend the length of my scarf. It’s strange, but it’s gotten fatter.
The colors are very, very cool. The name of the yarn, however, is very, very un-cool: navaho ombre. Yes, really.
Woo-hoo! You’re knitting! Very cool.
