So Greenwoman tagged me for a meme about my personal quirks. Here goes.

1. The second I walk in the door I put my slippers on. I travel with my slippers. I do errands in my slippers. I wear my slippers so often about once a year I have to buy new ones. And they ain’t cheap. I don’t buy cheap slippers because they fall apart too quickly.

2. I own lots of books most of which I haven’t read. And I keep buying more. Right now I’m buying books on herbalism. Maybe I’ll get around to reading them one of these days. You see, as soon as I sit down to read a book, I fall asleep. Blogs, on the other hand, keep me entertained enough so I don’t fall asleep in my desk chair. Weird, no?

3. The only print I wear is plaid, otherwise I’m always in solid colors. And never plaid skirt or pants, only plaid flannels. I like patterns, especially polka dots, but I just can’t bring myself to wear them. I feel as if my clothes are screaming and I’m physically uncomfortable. And that’s in the dressing room trying clothes on.

5. I dream of living in a glass house. I know this sounds odd, but I do want to live in a house with lots of natural light. Of course, it would be really hot but that’s ok so long as I can garden organically year round.

That’s all my sleepy, snotty, medicated* head can think of right now. Oh, wait! I just thought of another. I have a purple tooth! Yes, really! About a decade ago I had a crown put on. Because I had to pay for it out of my own pocket, I got them to dye the porcelain purple. It’s in the back of my mouth (one of my molars) so you can’t see it unless I show you (I never would’ve done it in the front of my mouth). Small children love it. I always say “if you stop screaming I’ll show you my purple tooth!” It works for a few minutes anyways.
