We got our first snow storm the other day which left us with about six inches of snow. I didn’t realize just now much snow we’d gotten until I took Athena down to Old Hill for a walk this morning. Good thing a snowmobile had been through already otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to walk down there.

While Athena probably saw snow when she was a pup, she didn’t really get introduced to it until this week. She seemed pretty unsure of it at first but she’s gotten over it. She definitely doesn’t like the cold but I don’t think the snow bothers her that much. She was running all around and didn’t let it stop her, though she did stay in the snowmobile track throughout the walk.

Though Grandfather Sun is bright, Air is cold. If Athena and I didn’t keep moving we got cold pretty quick down at Old Hill this morning.

Saw all kinds of tracks: turkeys, small birds, some mammal I couldn’t identify (fox I think), and saw an eagle soaring above our heads. It was good to get out and exercise out some of the anxiety which has been building the last couple weeks.

Ok, off to show then homework. Will be so glad when I get my life back and don’t have to do homework every hour of every day…
