Lengthening Strength

As Sun lengthens, Winter strengthens.

Sun is warm, held hostage by hazy, snowy clouds. Wind is bitter and cold, air warm from Sun’s kiss. Sky tries to push through clouds with the help of Sun. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes not. Flurries dance around under dark grey and sunny skies.
Our Mother is waking, getting ready to give birth. Sun is lengthening and Winter is showing his angry demise through his increased strength. Birds chitter chatter, calling to potential mates. Squirrels chip and squak leaving footprints all around. It is both Winter and Spring. That tenious time between the two seasons.
