Factory Farm Map

The link to Factory Farm Map came through my email this morning.

Food production has become a global business. As a result of international trade agreements and the policies of international finance institutions, peasant farmers are being driven off their land into urban slums — replaced by agribusinesses growing for the export market.

Click on the above link to find out how your state is doing. New Hampshire seems not too bad, surprisingly. Or maybe not surprisingly. Course, we have other factories which pollute our food and water.

Oh, this is cool! They have a blog Food & Water Watch Blog.

As you may have seen in the news, the House of Representatives passed their version of the Farm Bill on Friday afternoon. And Food & Water Watch activists made a difference! On several key issues, bad amendments were either withdrawn or defeated.

A nice post on the Farm Bill.

The thing I wish is they would use a bigger font. My eyes are getting old and have a hard time reading the itty, bitty words.

Lastly, there are job opportunities if anyone is interested
