The chickens came yesterday. We picked out names but haven’t assigned them to particular chickens. The names are Parmesan, McNugget, Buffalo, and Soup.
We got them at about 7p last night and put them right into the coop with some food and water. This morning Wolf got up and opened the windows to give them some light. They seemed pretty scared but I’m sure they’ll adjust.
I still haven’t gotten my camera back (it’s being fixed) so no pictures. Wolf has promised to write a post about the coop but he wants to wait until the camera comes back so he can take a picture of the completed house.
In unrelated news, Little Miss Siren has been enjoying our yard these last few days. I’m going to set up a feeding station for her. She’s no longer singing her siren song so either she’s not in heat anymore or she pregnant. Regardless I’m going to start feeding her nightly. This, of course, will attract other wildlife which I’m not too keen on, especially now that we have chickens, but I really want to trap her and get her into the shelter. She’s not feral she’s a stray. Or owned but neglected because she’s thin, matted, and unaltered.
