Return of the Hawk

Last year I posted a hawk had moved into the neighborhood right after we got back from vacation in August. It came back. Maybe it’s a different hawk but the result is still the same: silence. The birds have stopped talking in fear of getting eaten I imagine.

Lets hope the chickens are too heavy for this little hawk to fly away with.

On a related note, Myron the turkey has been seen around the yard. He (I think it’s a he) doesn’t seem to give the chickens a hard time which is good and he leaves the garden alone. As long as he continues to he’ll be welcome here on Howling Hill.
