Autumn Beautiful

A couple pictures for your eye enjoyment.

Weirs Beach in Laconia. That’s Lake Winnipesaukee if you’re wondering.

When I was a kid I used to wonder why Winnipesaukee wasn’t a Great Lake. After all, Winnipesaukee is a *huge* lake (or so I thought). It is one of the biggest — if not the biggest — in New England so I felt is should be part of the Great Lakes.

Franklin Falls Dam Oct. 17, 2008 copy

On my way home from physical therapy (for my neck) I snapped this picture of the view at the Franklin Falls Dam. I see this every time I head north. It’s how I know I only have a few more miles to go before I get home. It’s such a welcoming site.

Punchline: Thanks! This year we’ve had really brilliant foliage and lots of blue sky. It’s a nice welcome after a soggy summer.
