Pesticides in Produce: 43 Fruits and Vegetables

Wolf’s company puts on these wellness classes every now and again. This time Prescription Center sent someone out to give the talk on what fruits and veggies to avoid at the supermarket because of high pesticide use. I’m going to recreate the list here though I want it to be clear I didn’t make it, the Prescription Center in Concord, NH did. Their phone number is 603-224-9591. Please contact them with any questions.

Ranked from worst to good(ish). The further up the list you are (1, 2, 3…) the more you should avoid that food. The representative from the Prescription Center recommended eating foods from the middle to the bottom of the list. Of course, if one has access to fresh, local, organic foods then this list doesn’t apply. Mostly the list if for supermarket foods.

I retyped the list. In parentheses is the score the Prescription Center gives the food. It means “highest pesticide load.”
