Mira Nair

Mira Nair has become one of my favorite directors/writers/producers. Whenever I see she is involved with a film I know it’ll be fully textured, musically and visually intense, with superb acting and writing. Her films, such as Mississippi Masala, Monsoon Wedding, Vanity Fair are just fantastic. I don’t miss it when another comes out.

Nair’s film The Namesake was no different in it’s awesomeness.

It’s rare that I watch the commentary on a movie or any of the behind the scene stuff because I don’t want the magic to be ruined. But when it comes to Nair I just want to know *everything* about the film she made, how she made it, and what inspired her.
